The Mark IV Engine is the fourth in a string of 3D graphics and
simulation engines designed and built by Anton Gerdelan, and is
the direct successor of the Evo3 project.
The purpose of the Mark IV Engine project is to research and
develop a multiple-platform, network-capable, real-time,
3D graphical simulation engine, based on superior Software
Engineering techniques and philosophies.
The Mark IV Engine is designed to run on any Windows, Linux, or
Mac OS/X machine, and uses either DirectX or OpenGl for 3D
rendering. The engine will allow clients using a variety of
different operating systems to connect to each other in real
time.
