Chhobi is a photo organizer software released under the GPL.
Chhobi lets you organize your photos using keywords and captions.
The keywords and captions are stored in the image metadata using
the exif/iptc standard (as opposed to a proprietary format in a
separate database).
This program is written in C++ using the QT toolkit and exiv2 and
sqlite3 libraries. It fills the following niche:
1. A cross platform open source photo organizer
2. Stores user generated info (comments and keywords) in the image
metadata itself
3. Keeps a copy of the user info in a sqlite database for fast and
efficient searching.
(*Chhobi means means 'Picture' in Bengali. The squiggle in the
center of the logo is the Bengali letter 'chh')
This package has no releases.
