vitetris is a Tetris clone for the terminal that doesn't use ncurses. It features configurable keys, a high score table, and 2-player mode. Gameplay is much like the early Tetris games.
This build of vitetris does not have support for X11 terminal resizing but has no dependency on X11 runtime libraries to be installed on your system. If you want to have X11 terminal resizing support, install the package vitetris-x11
